Adventure Editions of Hyundai Creta and Alcazar launched

Hyundai Motor India has launched the Adventure Editions of its popular SUVs Creta and Alcazar in India. This is the second special edition of the Creta in India, while the Alcazar has been introduced in the special edition for the first time. Both the SUVs are offered in Khaki color scheme with Ranger Black roof on the exterior. The company has removed the chrome elements from the Adventure Edition of both the cars, while it gets the ‘Adventure Edition’ badging on the exterior. Some cosmetic updates and some new features have been added to both the cars. These include features like dashcam with dual cameras, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, cruise control and 6 airbags.

What’s New in ‘Adventure Edition’

The exterior design of the special editions of both the SUVs gets similar cosmetic updates. It gets sporty black alloy wheels with front red brake calipers, while elements like grille, bumper, front and rear chrome logos, door cladding, ORVMs, roof rails, skid plates and shark-fin antenna get the black treatment. Apart from this, ‘Adventure’ badging has been given on the front fenders, black roof rails and black skid plates.
The Adventure Edition of Creta also gets 4 monotone color options. These include Abyss Black, Titan Grey, Atlas White and Ranger Khaki. Apart from this, black roof option is available in dual tone color with Atlas White and Ranger Khaki. The special edition Alcazar gets the option of a black roof along with all the monotone colors of the Creta.
The interiors of the Creta and Alcazar Adventure Edition feature an all-black cabin theme with sage green inserts. Hyundai has also given black and green seat upholstery in it, which has been named ‘Illustration of Mountain’. Apart from this, 3D floor mats and metal pedals have also been given in its interior. Apart from this, 21 new features like dashcam with dual camera are available.

Engine, Power & Transmission

The Adventure Edition of the Creta is offered with only a petrol engine option, while the Adventure Edition of the Alcazar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The Creta Special Edition gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which generates 115hp power and 144Nm torque. The transmission option of 6-speed manual gearbox and CVT automatic gearbox has been given with this engine.
At the same time, a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine is given in Alcazar, which generates 160hp power and 253Nm torque. With this, the option of 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox is available. Apart from this, a 1.5-liter diesel engine has been given in Alcazar, which generates power of 116 PS and torque of 250 NM. 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT transmission options are available with this engine.

Creta and Alcazar Adventure Edition: Features

The only feature added to the Adventure Edition of the Creta and Alcazar is the dual camera dashcam. Apart from this, both get the same features as the current model, including 10.25-inch touchscreen system, wireless phone charging, panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats.
These safety features are also given in Creta and Alcazar. Apart from this, features like 6 airbags, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear parking camera and ISOFIX child seat anchorage have been provided in both the cars. The top-spec Alcazar Special Edition gets features like a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and 360-degree camera over the Creta.
Hyundai India recently added new features to the Creta. These include three-point seat belts, adjustable rear headrests, 60:40 split rear bench and 2-step recliner seat. All variants of the car now get three-point seat belts for the rear seat passengers.

Special Edition: Price

The ‘Adventure Edition’ of both the SUVs costs Rs 36,000 more than the regular variants. The starting price of the new Hyundai Creta Adventure Edition has been kept at Rs 15.17 lakh, while the price of Alcazar has been kept at Rs 19.04 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
